Omg! Is Android more secure than iOS

As you all must have seen in advertisements, Apple is giving you a new reason for buying the iPhone. The company’s new ad campaign having a thief who breaks in and steal data from “your phone,” but e was not able to do same in an iPhone. In the ad, a thief tries to enter an iPhone space but gets rebounded and quickly gives up.

It has been years for debate between Android and iOS, Apple thinks that now it has an edge to make it part of the iPhone’s marketing campaign, that will be reason for customers to switch from Android device to iOS devices.

According to Mike Johnson, who runs the security technologies graduate program at the University of Minnesota,There are many reasons why many phones running on Android are less secire than iPhones. Mike had used both OS devices, but he uses an iPhone as its primary device because of its security edge.

Android smartphones covers more than 80% of the smartphone market worldwide, and that isthe reason hackers are more likely to be succeed if they write programs for Android devices, just because of large number of devices.

Also patching in iOS is more easier than Android as iOS is used only in iPhones. Android runs on phones made by various manufacturers and that is the reason why It’s more complicated to create patches, or bug fixes, that works in so many devices from different makers and carriers.

Android can release a patch, but it will not be sufficient for all devices right away. Android's security is also disturbed because they provide large number of free apps which is not the case in iPhones
